Zing! on Seattle's "New Day" October 19, 2010 -- Zing! was a guest on Seattle's NBC daytime talk show, "New Day," with host, Margaret Larson. They sang a lively version of "You Don't, You Won't." During the interview, they talked about Sweet Adelines and the International Competition that was held in Seattle. They even taught Margaret a tag! You can see the interview at the following link:
October 23, 2009 - Zing! was named the 2010 Sweet Adelines International Champion Quartet at the international competition in Nashville, TN. The quartet competed with 52 regional champion quartets from the United States, Sweden, Canada, England, Australia and New Zealand. Zing! had placed in the Top Ten in three previous competitions, this time soaring from seventh place to the top. Members include Michelle Hunget (tenor-Olathe, KS), Susan Ives (lead-Topeka, KS), Mary Rhea (baritone-Norman, OK), and Melynnie Williams (bass-Newton, KS.) Zing! wowed the audience with the first chord of "You Turned the Tables on Me," leaving little doubt as to who the winner would be. They completed their semi-finals set with a heartfelt rendition of "My Foolish Heart." The quartet began their finals package with their theme song, "Zing!
